My Superb Dining Experience at Tokyo Restaurant Isetan, Lot 10 Kuala Lumpur

I am always looking for quality food to enjoy life. Hence, I found that Tokyo Restaurant serves a very high quality of food. Why I would say the food here is with high quality? I always don't believe when people tell me about how good quality the food is until I have tried it myself. So today, I dine at Tokyo Restaurant and I would like to share my superb experience with you.

Orientale Chicken Salad - RM22
We are having the Orientale Chicken salad as appetizer to kick start of my meal. It is the mixture of chinese green vegetables, steamed chicken, crispy wonton skin with chinese dressing sauce. Green vegetables are fresh and clean, placed nicely on the plate and topped with delicious dressing sauce on it. It is a nice one.

TTR Sushi Platter (6pcs) - RM35
The sushi platter is served with 6 pieces of sushi per serving with the price of RM35. Please ignore the number of pieces of sushi on my plate as the chef serves me with extra sushi upon my ordering. =) The sushi is tasted pretty awesome. I can taste the freshness of it and it is best enough for me to eat it without dipping any sauce. Thank you chef for making my sushi platter looks so pretty! =)

Salmon Sashimi Carpaccio - RM34
Next, we are having something raw which is the salmon sashimi carpaccio. I know it is quite ridiculous to claim myself as a Japanese food lover when I don't really like to eat raw food. But, this salmon sashimi is really impressed me! It tastes like not really very raw and tastes super good. The salmon sashimi fillets is placed nicely on the flat plate and seasoned with soy ginger vinaigrette, sesame seeds and spring onion.

Wagyu Beef
I have been served with this wagyu beef which is also one of their new dish which to be launched soon. The wagyu beef is very fresh, it is cooked very well. The meat is soft, very chewy in mouth. I would want to say that this dish has really attracted my attention as I am not really love beef so much. =)

Lobster
I am so excited when the chef offers me to try out their upcoming new dish, LOBSTER! Who does not like lobster? The size of the lobster is as big as my hand.The lobster's meat is soft and juicy. I wish this new dish can be launched into their menu very soon! It is awesome!

Macedonia - RM16
I am having Macedonia as a dessert. It is made by marinated cubed fruits, topped with herb sorbet. The combination of the sweetness of the fruits make it a perfect one to end my meal.

6th Avenue Cheese Cake - RM16
Here comes the best cheese cake that I would like to recommend to those who love cheese cake very much. The taste is really the best like heaven. I would say this the best cheese cake I have ever had all these while. Please taste it and tell me how you feel. ^_^

Tokyo Restaurant is one of the five restaurants at The Table, Isetan. It is located on the 4th floor. The Table showcases five brands which include Nek York-based Sushi Azabu that has a Michelin star.

Delicious Assorted Seafood Pot with Classic Sauce at Simmer Huang, Pavilion Elite, KL

Main Pot (百年焖锅)

The Main Pot is served with all the ingredients in the container at the very first stage. The sauces are also been prepared and placed on a moving tray to our seats. Then, the staff will do the cooking for us on our table. So, we are actually having fun on watching the cooking process.

You must be exciting to know how the main pot is being served from the beginning to the end. Let me explain to you on the steps of how to order and so on. There are few choices which you may need to decide upon ordering.

Step 1: Choose the main ingredients

(price range to be from RM90-RM150/pot)

Step 2: Choose the sauce

Classic 招牌咸鲜汁 | Seafood 海鲜汁 | Spicy 微麻辣汁 | Hot and Spicy 特麻辣汁 | Soy 豉皇汁

*Step 1 and Step 2 are to be done by customers. And, the following steps are to be done by the serving staff.

Step 3: The pot is heated up with this piece of buttery oil on it.

Step 4: Once the buttery oil is heated up well, we have been told that there are 10 types of vegetables added into the pot to act as base.

They are then being heated up under high heat without adding water. This is the impressive part where you will see the vegetables are not heated until dried because once the vegetables are heated up, the juiciness will be formed from this.

Step 5: Once heated up for few minutes, the seafood is then placed on top of the boiled vegetables.

Step 6: Lastly, the sauce is drizzled over the pot on top of the seafood and this is the time where the flavoring comes from.

The pot is cooked with a traditional method where all the ingredients and sauce are being heated inside a hot pot without using a drop of water. This simmer cooking process tends to lock the nutrition of the food inside the pot itself.

It is then ready to be consumed after 10 to 15 minutes heating. There is a second way to eat this hot pot that is, request to add on clear chicken soup into the pot and wait until it boils. However, try the hot pot to taste its original taste before adding the soup. Both dry and soup base have different kind of tastes which you might not want to miss it.
