Spicy Thai-Thai Cafe at Aljunied, Singapore

If you are one of the Thai food fan, Spicy Thai-Thai Cafe will definitely be one of your best choice to look for authentic Thai food. The founder, Ron Poh, has come out with the idea of using charcoal for preparing the soup and steamed dishes in order to maintain the heat consistency and the quality of the food.

Cat Fish Lemon - SGD$35.00

A very impressive dish is now served on my table, Cat Fish Lemon. The soup of the dish comes with the combination of sweet and sour taste over a hot charcoal pot where the heat of the dish is maintained during our meal. The meat of the cat fish is tender and fresh as well.

BBQ Pork Neck - SGD$12.00

The BBQ Pork Neck tastes fantastic! It is cooked well with charsiew sauce coated on it. This is one of favorite dish among all. A must try dish when you visit Spicy Thai-Thai Cafe.

Fried Rice Crab for 4 pax - SGD$24.00

The rice is fried with lump crab meat and eggs. Basically, it tastes very good as the crab meat makes the fried rice smells good. The sweetness of the crab meat combined with the rice are probably the perfect match.

Chicken Basil - SGD$10.00

Chicken Basil is cooked with Basil leaves. Basically it does not come with a very strong taste and smell of the Basil leaves. This dish could be very spicy but of course we have told the chef to reduce the spiciness, so it is not so spicy after all.

Cha0m Omelette - SGD$10.00

It is a fried omelette with Thai dill. You may order this if you are pretty love omelette very much. The chef of Spicy Thai-Thai Cafe presents a fried omelette to be mixed with Thai dill. A very good combination of them as Thai dill does not have any smell on the dish.

LaLa BeeHoon - SGD$18.00

I have to warn you first, this dish is quite spicy. However, I pretty love it very much. Its spiciness is actually come from the pepper, the dish is cooked just nice with the tasty peppery soup.

Fried Sotong - SGD$20.00

Sotong is deeply fried. It is very crispy when chewing. It is a common dish to be ordered when you visit any of the restaurants. The sotong is fresh and big in size, basically it is worth to have it.

Hommok (Otah) - SGD$18.00

Hommok Otah is served in a coconut with coconut bits. It comes with few pieces of prawns in it. Good to eat together with rice as well.

Grispy Kangkong - SGD$10.00

Kangkong is being deeply fried until crispy. I super like the crispiness of this Grispy Kankong. This is one of the popular Thai finger food in Thailand, thus this could be your must try food once you are entering a Thai restaurant.

Thai Syok Authentic Thai Food & Yakitori BBQ, Sunway Mentari PJ

Authentic Thai food

Thai Syok is a restaurant which serves authentic Thai cuisines. It is located at Sunway Mentari, Petaling Jaya. (if you know the location of Fat One Steamboat, it is at the back of it) There is a wide space inside the restaurant where I get to enjoy my food comfortably. You may get some recommendation of food from Jeffred Tham (Managing Director of Thai Syok), he is much more friendly to help you upon ordering. Check it out here for what to order too.

1. Thai Inspired Yakitori - RM24.00

This cuisine consists of 6 skewers (1 each) from the list below. It is the perfect match of Yakitori where you can try out all of the selections. However, you may also order your preferred one as they come out with 3 skewers per selection. I would like to recommend you to try out the marinated pork belly which is my all time favorite. The meat of the pork belly is soft and chewy.

1) Skewer pandan chicken (3 skewers) - RM12

2) Marinated chicken wing (3 skewers) - RM15

3) Marinated pork neck (3 skewers) - RM12

4) Holy basil pork grill with lemongrass (3 skewers) - RM10

5) Grill tom yum king prawn (3 Skewers) - RM15

2. Thai Syok Green Curry (Vegetables) - RM14.80

One of the must try cuisine when you visit a Thai restaurant. The Thai food presented are basically from southern Thai, thus they are less spicy. I like the way they serve this dish where as customers are able to choose their preference of chicken, pork, vegetables, seafood or king prawn for the Green Curry. The taste of Green Curry is very good! It could be the best to be eaten with white rice.

3. Pandan Chicken - RM17.90

This is one of their signature dish. The chicken is soft and juicy. The chicken is well marinated and wrapped with pandan leaf.

4. Braised Pork Belly with Lime Sauce - RM19.90

This is probably the most favorite dish for pork lovers. The pork belly is braised well and rinsed with lime sauce. The lime sauce tastes good and unique. It is a perfect match with pork belly.

5. Crab Meat Fried Rice - RM13.90

Those who love fried rice, you can try this out at here. It is worth to try as the rice is fried with more crab meat.

6. Chicken Feet

I always love to try out the sour taste of chicken feet whenever I visit a Thai restaurant. It is quite spicy, thus order if you can take spicy food. =)

7. Red Rubbies with Jack Fruit in Coconut Syrup (crushed ice) - RM5.20

Lastly, I end my meal with red rubbies with jack fruit in coconut syrup. It is well presented with beautiful look. It tastes perfectly nice. The dessert is added with little bit of green tea to enlighten its taste. I would strongly recommend you to try this out. You may also choose to have crushed ice or ice blended.
